Tips to Control Angry and Aggressive Behavior

  • Tell your loved one they’re right, even if they’re not. Don’t be upset; stay calm.

  • Turn on some soothing music or a song you know they love.

  • Listen to their reasons for the anger and ensure them that you understand where they’re coming from.

  • Try to redirect them and let them know they are safe.

  • If you are ever in a situation where you are scared or in danger, leave the room and call for someone to help.
