Bringing Loved One Back Home from a Living Facility

If your loved one is demonstrating positive behavior at the living facility, take your loved one out and about and possibly home. If it doesn’t work, you’ll know not to try it again for awhile. If it does, you can enjoy that special time in their home.

You might also try a field trip to a local book store or ice cream store and see how that goes.

Once your loved one goes into an assisted living facility or a nursing home, there is no rule that says they can’t come home—perhaps that facility was able to build their strength and get them on a good path for recovery.
