  • “Dad, I know it’s hard to wait for your grandson to mow the lawn. While he’s on his way, tell me about growing up in South Dakota.”

  • “We are going to church soon, let’s do your shower before we go.”

  • “I am sorry this is happening, I can see you are upset, can we sit and talk about it?”
