Class 3: Minimizing Behavioral Symptoms



Because communication can be difficult, a person with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia may use anger to express him/herself. Triggers for angry bouts can be exhaustion, pain, illness or frustration. Try determining the cause of the frustration and redirect, or take a break to change a bad mood into a good one. We’ll talk in more detail about how to minimize behavioral symptoms in a few slides we will get to how to minimize.
